Prince: His Purple Majesty runs at Espace Georges-Émile-Lapalme from now until March 3.
Prince's former sound engineer was in town this past weekend for the launch of Prince: His Purple Majesty.
Rogers had worked with the singer in the 80s and saw him through some of his most memorable moments, including the release of Purple Rain. She remembers that on the cusp of Purple Rain there was a strong sense that the work would be either a great success — or a flop.
"There was a lot of electricity in the air that it could go either way," Rogers said.
Returning to Montreal to be part of the Prince exhibit was important to her because she said she feels a "duty and obligation to honour his memory" so a younger generation can understand him beyond his music.
So there you have it! Don't miss out on your chance to see the newest, and free, multimedia exhibition at Place Des Arts this Black History Month.
