Gamers prepare yourselves for the best kind of gaming tournament. The one that separates the men from the boys, the one that allows you to assert complete and total dominance over your friends and forever earn bragging rights as the ultimate ... Super Smash Brothers Champion. That's because this year, Montreal's Comiccon plans to focus on video games more than they have in the past, there will be 25-30 booths dedicated to independent games and the voice of Mario and Luigi, Charles Martinet, will even be there. (Yes, the: "ITSA ME, MARIO!" guy)
Those who know this game know it well and those how don't have no idea what they're missing. The day-long melees where you play until your thumbs hurt, the endless debate of whether Mario is a better character than Luigi, unplugging your little brother's controller while he's not looking and watching him freak out as his character just sits there helplessly getting thrown off StarFox's Arwing.
Everyone knows there's only thing better than kicking your friend's ass at Smash Bros, and that's kicking their ass and humiliating them in front of a crowd of onlookers.
The tournament was just announced this morning (March 26th) at the Comiccon Reveal at Cineplex Quartier Latin and will be taking place during the 7th edition of Montreal's Comiccon which is taking place between July 3rd and July 5th at the Palais des Congres.
