I'm not sure exactly what's going on in this city, but we seem to be on a metro expansion trip right now.
As many of you may already know, Montreal has proposed an all-new Purple Metro Line.
There are another 24 light-rail stops also planned.
And if that wasn't enough, we're also getting a new high-speed train.
But now, an old project is being brought back to life by the mayor or RDP-Pointe-aux-Trembles, Chantal Rouleau. She assures us that she is currently discussing the expansion of Montreal's blue metro line to include 5 new stops, extending all the way to Galeries d’Anjou.
What's even cooler is the fact that they want the extension to be above ground., which if accepted, would truly open up the idea of a hybrid above/underground metros for a whole new range of possible extensions.
Some of the metro stations you wish existed might even see the light of day.

Mrs. Rouleau claims that these plans were originally abandoned due to population density problems, but that has since changed. So theoretically, there's no reason for this project not to happen, although no firm dates have been announced yet.
