Canada is currently leading the world when it comes to the medical marijuana industry, and Montreal will soon be getting in on the action. 

Aurora Cannabis, the second largest medical marijuana producer in the world, is planning on opening a 40,000 square foot marijuana grow-op Hymus Blvd. in Pointe Claire.

As it turns out, the Vice President of Aurora Cannabis actually grew up in Beaconsfield, and he says he wants his company to be "the Amazon.com of cannabis”. 

Production could start as early as this summer, which means the world will soon be able to get homegrown Montreal medical marijuana.

And since Canada is getting ready to make changes to the current marijuana laws, who knows, maybe we'll be getting a recreational grow-op in the future.
