Montreal Opening Up A Huge Public Beach Under The Jacques Cartier Bridge
Beers, friends, sun & fun.
With summer here, most of have one things on our mind: chilling/having fun in the sun. Here in Montreal, enjoying the sun's rays is mostly done in the park, partly because we can drink there and also because of the fact that heading to a beach (no, the Clocktower Beach doesn't count) is quite the trek.
But with Village au Pied-du-Courant, the beach is coming to us. Right on the banks of the Saint Lawrence, this man-made party-beach-space is going be the quintessential summer venue, with everything you want to do in one place.
To commemorate the opening of Village au Pied-du-Courant, which will welcome Montrealers from June 2nd to September 3rd, a gigantic party is going to be held, with everyone (and their dog) invited, at zero charge.
DJ sets, food trucks, tropical-themed cocktails and a slew of new season-long features at Village au Pied-du-Courant will be on-site for you to enjoy at the public space's opening party, giving you a taste of what is to come for the rest of the summer. And given the tons of new additions made to Village au Pied-du-Courant this year, getting a handle on everything early will definitely come in handy.
Going down on June 2nd, Village au Pied-du-Courant's opening party is entirely free with pets entirely allowed. For more details, head to the Facebook event page here.
