Montreal is an amazing city, and one of the many things that makes this city so cool is the fact that we have a huge mountain right in the middle of town.
Unfortunately we never build anything on the mountain because dead people called dibs on it.
But that doesn't mean we can't dream about what would be possible if we actually were actually allowed to build things up there.
There used to be a funicular that brought people all the way up the mountain and we even used to have a ski hill up there and the world didn't come to an end. So maybe it's time we revisit the idea of building cool things on the mountain.
In the past we suggested some kind of pool/terrasse area, but this time we decided to take the idea one step further.
Instead of a pool, why not have an entire waterpark?
We already have the hill, now all we need are the slides.
Unlike the concept art we made, the slides don't necessarily have to be visible at all. Instead they could be tucked inside the forest below the tree line, so we don't ruin the landscape.
Ski hills in the Laurentians realized this was a good idea a long time ago, that's why places like Mont Saint-Sauveur turn into a waterpark every summer.
And if that doesn't work out we can always use the hill near Beaver Lake to build some "superman slides".
