Believe it or not, the actor was just in Montreal filming the Ruth Bader Ginsburg biopic, On the Basis of Sex.
But apparently, the star can't get enough of La Belle Province, as he's slated to be back in Montreal this spring for a new Hollywood film, Dreamland.

TL;DR The film Dreamland will begin shooting this spring in Montreal and the cast currently includes Armie Hammer, Evangeline Lilly and Gary Oldman. The film is set to be released next year.
The upcoming film, Dreamland, is a multi-narrative tale of the world of opioids and the impact of Fentanyl in Canada and the U.S.
The film is being directed by Nicholas Jarecki, the writer and director behind the award-winning film Arbitrage starring Richard Gere. Jarecki also wrote, produced and directed the documentary, The Outsider, which follows the eccentric and Oscar-winning director James Toback.
The release date is set for next year, but filming in Montreal will take place in the spring of this year.
The photo above was taken by the director in Montreal and was posted at the end of January, meaning that location scouting has begun!
While we don't have specifics on when filming will begin, we do know that pre-production begins on March 2nd, 2019.
The photo above was also shared by the director, Nicholas Jarecki, with one of the producers commenting, "Beautiful town... It’s gonna be our home for a while... Very Exciting!!!"

The film will be shooting in Montreal until April 17th, 2019.
