With school finals quickly approaching and summer break only a few months away, university and high school students across Montreal will soon be handing out resumés, preparing for job interviews, and starting their summer jobs to carry them through to fall 2019.
It may sound easy, but it really isn't. Summer jobs are in such high demand each year that many students end up unemployed or in a position where they don't have the most satisfying job to occupy their entire summer. That's where job fairs and hiring events come to the rescue. Potential candidates for a position can get an interview right away, learn more about the position they're applying for, and make a great first impression rather then sending in an application electronically.
TL;DR La Ronde is hosting a giant hiring event at their office on April 13 and 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to fill seasonal positions. Anyone 16 years of age or older are eligible to apply, no experience required. More details on the job fair are below.
With that being said, one of the best hiring events of the year is about to take place. La Ronde is looking to hire seasonal employees for their summer 2019 season. According to a press release, there are about 800 open positions! If you're looking for a once-in-a-lifetime experience this year, you won't want to miss the long-awaited hiring event.
The job fair runs from April 13 to 14 beginning at 9 a.m. and ending at 4 p.m. each day in the La Ronde office. The open positions at the amusement park include admissions, ride operator, culinary services, retail, grounds maintenace, and more.
The positions at La Ronde are totally suited for students for multiple reasons, such as:
- The jobs are for the summer only, so you're not tied up with work during the school year
- La Ronde is seeking employees 16 years of age or older, so even high school students can apply
- Prior experience isn't required, meaning anyone can apply and be guaranteed the proper training
- Each position is highly active and requires someone who's enthusiastic and able to be outdoors all day, which many students are already used to doing
La Ronde asks each applicant to apply online prior to arrival, otherwise you may not be eligible to enter the hiring event. If you are planning to attend in hopes of landing a summer job, you should definitely dress to impress, as interviews could be held on-the-spot.
