Last week, news that the Backstreet Boys were bringing their DNA World Tour to Montreal's Bell Centre spread through the interwebs like a virus.
TL;DR The Evenko website crashed when Backstreet Boys tickets went on sale. The concert at the Bell Centre now appears sold out. Below are som fans' reactions on Twitter.
Thousands of fans rejoiced at the opportunity to once again see the famous band live in concert. They flocked to the Evenko website to purchase their tickets.
Evenko is the premier vendor of tickets for major events in Montreal. Despite its success, however, the site is known to sometimes be unable to process massive influxes of eager fans.
Unfortunately, such was the case this week. First, the Backstreet Boys concert appeared to sell out before regular tickets became available. Then, customers reported that the site completely crashed. Some even claim they lost their tickets as a result.
Dozens of Backstreet Boys fans took to Twitter to express their frustration, disappointment, and fury:
And it's not even the fact for those specific tickets. It's just like the whole thing is so unorganized. Might as well fish in the dark.— Missy-Jean Taylor (@MissyJeanTaylor) November 14, 2018
Well lucky you cause I did the same thing and when it came the time to pay the site crashed 💔— Nadine (@Nadou17) November 14, 2018
I dont get it. So sad.— Cristianne Gordon (@Cristianne) November 14, 2018
So mad..... you call & go online but if no one answers and the website isn’t responding then how are people supposed to get tickets?!?! We don’t all get pre-sale so save some for the rest of us! @evenko @backstreetboys #Montreal— Aly💍 (@AlysiaRiolo) November 14, 2018
@evenko #evenko worst site. Please fix your website. First all tickets are gone. Than some come up you get through and the whole system crashes and now single seats only it says and even that not available @backstreetboys please add a 2nd show for #Montreal #DNAWorldTour— StephaniePC (@mrspanetta) November 14, 2018

@backstreetboys @nickcarter @aj_mclean @brian_littrell @howied @kevinrichardson I’m a huge fan, however I’m extremely disappointed at what happened this morning with your ticket sales, @evenko I had my tix when the site crashed and now I lost them, I have never missed a show— Kristin Staskevicius (@KristinStaskev1) November 14, 2018
Never have I sat and watched my laptop screen faithfully to purchase concert tickets. #Evenko That ''waiting room'' was traumatizing. No #BackstreetBoys concert in #Montreal for this lady. :( #Sad #HadMyHeartSetForMyBirthday— Missy-Jean Taylor (@MissyJeanTaylor) November 14, 2018
As of right now, the Backstreet Boys concert at the Bell Centre appears sold out on the Evenko website. Hopefully, the famous band will add another night in Montreal to appease fuming fans.
