You Will Soon Be Able To Save 50% On Food At Grocery Stores In Quebec
You won't believe how many products will be significantly cheaper!
There's no doubt that grocery shopping can become a pretty stressful situation. Not only do you have to navigate your shopping cart through super small aisles amongst hoards of other shoppers, but there's also the fact the grocery shopping as a whole can become quite expensive. Let's face it, buying your weekly assortment of fruit and vegetables can add up, especially when half of it ends up going bad in the back of your fridge.
It's just not a sustainable way of living, especially for millennials. Not only are you stressed out over spending so much money, but now you feel bad about wasting your money on food that's gone rotten. Luckily, there is one thing that can make all this anxiety and stress instantly go away. Yes, I'm talking about major savings.
TL;DR Both Maxi and Provigo will be partnering with the Flashfood application, a money saving service, to offer up to 50% off on groceries across Quebec. The app will be available to use for free across the province come April, although some stores have already begun the savings this week. More details below.
Savings as great as 50% off at both Maxi and Provigo, that is. This is not a drill, people. This will soon be a reality at the stores thanks to their collaboration with the Flashfood application.
The app has existed in Ontario since 2016 and it's now finally coming to Quebec. With it, you'll be able to see food that is almost out of date at supermarkets and purchase it directly online. Then all you have to do is go to your grocery store and pick up your food directly at the designated kiosk.
So now not only are you saving money, but you can also avoid the hectic grocery store atmosphere and super long lines!
Flashfood will officially be partnering with all Maxi and Provigo stores across Quebec this April, according to La Presse. If you can't wait that long for incredible deals, some locations are already offering the 50% off savings!
Both Maxi in Longueuil and Provigo in Saint-Bruno are already offering the savings. Nine other branches will also begin offering it this Saturday in Trois-Rivières, Quebec City, Drummondville, and Jonquière.
Just some of the foods to which the 50% discount applies include: meat, dairy, bread, prepared foods, and even specialty items such as chocolate cake. Needless to say, this is the type of savings we've all been waiting for.
The best part is, the Flashfood app is totally free to use! So really, it costs you nothing at all to save tons of money on grocery shopping you already needed to do.
