Alright, friends, it's already August. The summer might be coming to a close, but that doesn't mean Montreal's stopped being awesome. That doesn't mean we've stopped hosting amazing events... actually, it pretty much just means that you've got to cram all of the fantastic things Montreal's got going on into a shorter amount of time.

And one event you surely can't miss? The Montreal First People Festival. Taking place this year between August 3 - 10, this is the perfect opportunity for you to learn about, and celebrate, the cultures of Canada's First Peoples.

Featuring tons of events, food, film screenings, poetry readings, and more, this event will surely offer different insights into the culture and traditions of the nation's First Peoples. The festival itself is free, but some events might require a ticket.

The festival will mainly take place in the Quartier Des Spectacles, but different events might be held at different venues, like the Grande Bibliotheque or the Librarie Zone Libre.

Does this sound like the most awesome festival you've heard of so far? Then check out their website for more information.
