Montreal’s STM Bus And Metro Network Is Going To Run All Night Long For Nuit Blanche 2019

Woohoo!!

The STM hopes to help Montreal make the most of this year's Nuit Blanche by keeping the metro open all night long.

But, just like on New Year's Eve, these extended hours do not mean you get to ride the metro or hop on the buses for free.

TL;DR Montreal's metro will extend their services yet again this year to allow Montrealers to take in all that Nuit Blanche 2019 has to offer. Buses will also run all night and the fare for the Unlimited Evening pass is only $5.25.

The STM is offering an "Unlimited Evening" fare card that will allow you to use Montreal's public transit all night long for only $5.

The Unlimited Evening fare card applies to both the metro and buses and is valid from 6 P.M. on March 2nd until 5 A.M the next day, March 3rd.

The All-Night Bus Service timetable is available here, so you can plan your trajectory around the city and see the most public art possible.

There will also be Paratransit services available until 4 A.M., with a reservation that can be made by calling 514-280-8211, option 1. Reservations for this service should be made no later than Friday, March 1st by 9 P.M. You can make your reservations up to a week in advance, though, if you're extra keen! A valid transit pass is still mandatory.

Montreal's Nuit Blanche is in its 16th year and will provide Montrealers with an all-night adventure into public art, music, and endless exhibitions.

The full program of events and exhibitions will be announced on the Nuit Blanche page here on February 13th.

According to the city tourism website, the all-night art extravaganza will take over all of the following Montreal neighbourhoods: Old Montréal and the Quays of the Old Port, the Quartier des spectacles and the downtown core, the Plateau Mont-Royal and the Mile-End. There will also be activities in the new Pôle Maisonneuve by the Olympic Stadium.

Last year, there were over 200 activities and exhibitions, most of which were free to the public.

Past events included the free outdoor site at Place des Festivals where you could roast marshmallows and zip-line through the city skyline.

Not far from there is also the Musée d’art contemporain with free workshops, cocktails, and treats.

If you're afraid of the cold, opt for the "Art Souterrain" underground art circuit that will keep you safe and warm insdie while still showing you what Nuir Blanche is all about.

Check back here on the 13th for the announcement of all Nuit Blanche has to offer Montreal this year!
