Over 70 Animals Died In A Massive Fire At A Quebec SPCA
This is so tragic.
The SPCA (The Society For The Prevention Of Cruelty To Animals) is a long-standing organization whose goal include protecting and providing shelter to animals in danger.
Sadly, an SPCA in Western Quebec went up in flames Monday night. Firefighters worked hard to extinguish the fire.
In the end, the firefighters worked hard to be able to rescue about a dozen animals, but sadly, only 6 of them survived.
In the end, a total of 70 animals perished in this spontaneous and mysterious fire. The underlying cause of the fire is still being investigated by the police and fire department.
According to a source, this incident was devastating for the staff who collectively worked very hard to find homes for the adoptive dogs and provide shelter and safety to them.
In this video, you can see the residents of the neighborhood comforting the distressed dogs that were rescued as the building continues to burn in a roaring fire in the background.
As an animal-lover and specifically dog-lover, this news is tragic, and I truly hope the reason for the fire in uncovered as quickly as possible.
