Here's something you don't see every day. Actually it's something we haven't seen in more than 37 years.
The Sahara desert, which is one of the warmest and driest regions in the world, was covered in snow this week.
Seriously, snow. In the fuckin' desert!
The snow stayed for about a day before it melted, making the desert look like more caramel sundae. So the "desert" became a "dessert". Luckily an amateur photographer named Karim Bouchetata managed to get some photos of the strange event.
It's only the second time anyone can recall seeing snow in the Sahara. The last this happened was in 1979.
