Daylight savings time sucks, unless you're a farmer or something. But for the rest of us it causes nothing but headaches.
Spring time is nearly here, so the clocks will "spring forward" an hour, which means we'll have a whole new set of problems to deal with come Monday morning.
First and foremost, we are losing an hour of sleep, so everyone is going to feel jet-lagged. And as if that wasn't annoying enough, we will also have to deal with the deadliest day of the year.
Researchers in Colorado, Sweden and Croatia claim there are twice as many heart attack victims on the Monday following daylight savings when compared to an average Monday. And researchers in Canada noted a significant increase in fatal traffic accidents, workplace injuries as well as accidental deaths.
And just to make things more interesting, daylight savings time has also been linked to forgetfulness, impaired memory and a lower sex drive.
