A Montrealer has gone viral, and for a good reason too. Mariah Fridman contacted us to let us know about her amazing story. Simply, Fridman, was given a sex-ed quiz at school. The work sheet required she give a response to a series of commonly used excuses that are made when people don't want to wear condoms.
Instead of giving the standard, "polite" refusal, Fridman went to town. She gave snappy, honest responses to all the excuses. Instead of being praised for claiming right over her own body, she was suspended for 2 weeks from school. Now, two years later, Fridman's sister posted the quiz online and it has absolutely blown up.
She's finally getting the recognition for standing up for herself and inspiring others to take a stand against sexism in schools. You go girl, you make Montreal proud.
