People go viral almost everyday on social media, but it's not always for the right reasons. Sometimes people go viral for pulling pranks, fighting, making a meme, hating on others, and so much more. However, this 16 year old Montreal girl is going viral for all the right reason!
Olivia Fusco attends Laurier Macdonald High School and made this incredible video to empower women to feel beautiful and embrace who they are. She made this video for her sec. 5 IB personal project and she truly deserves a mark of 100%! I was personally touched and inspired as a former IB student and I understand first hand all the effort she put into her masterpiece.
Many other people have been making these new poetry slam videos about gender, equality, and feminism that have also gone viral, but this one truly stood out. Most of the time we feel a disconnect with the people in the video, but this time it was different. This time it was from a voice of our city. Not only is Miss Fusco an intelligent teenager, but she also has incredible courage and represents all the right things that should go viral on social media.
She had over 10 thousand views in less than 24 hours and the number keeps growing! She is spreading positivity and her high school could not be more proud! She is even getting recognition from high schools all across Montreal on her amazing project.
The video was originally posted on YouTube, but it went VIRAL on Facebook! In total, she has over 10,000 likes and support from her family, friends, and all of Montreal! She is truly extraordinary and now it's time to hear her voice and see what she has to say on behalf of young women.
