Making your way through Montreal is fairly easy and efficient. You can walk, ride your bike, take the bus, or hop on the metro.
If you rely on taking the metro to go to work or school, then you should be warned that your commute might be interrupted.
STM announced that they will be closing the Beaudry metro station, the green line stop in the centre of the Village, starting from October 1, 2018 to June 2, 2019.
That's right, for 8 months you will not be able to board the metro at the Beaudry metro station, nor will the green line train be stopping there.
The station will be getting a major overhaul, and construction is expected to continue until 2020.
For those who do rely on this metro station to get to work, school, or other places, fear not! During this phase, there will be a shuttle service for individuals to both Papineau and Berri-UQAM stations.
Renovations to the station include the replacement of doors, lighting, and stairs, making it look like brand new.
Work has already begun to transform the look of this metro station, such as the removal of the steel panels from the ceiling. Commuters will still be able to use the station through September 2018.
