Gardens of Light is a spectacular festival hosted by the Botanical Gardens once a year, in which they display traditional lanterns and beautiful illuminated sculptures. Past themes include The Son Of Heaven (China's emperors), and The Dragon- which included flying-red crowned cranes. This year's theme is based on a fishing story.
Three gardens will be illuminated at this event: Chinese Garden, Japanese Garden and the First Nations Garden.
