News has been pretty quiet on the Meghan Markle and Prince Harry front lately. Understandably so, since Meghan is technically on maternity leave and has likely been soaking up every moment of being a new mom.
Though Meghan did make an appearance at this year's Trooping the Colour, an event held annually to celebrate Commonwealth armies and also marks the official birthday of the British Sovereign.
And while the event itself wasn't very newsworthy, a moment before the anthem played has some eagle-eyed Royal family fans taking notice.
Meghan and Harry arrived together in a carriage with Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, and Camilla Parker Bowles, the Duchess of Cornwall.
Later on in the day, the Royal family stood together on the balcony of Buckingham Palace to pose for photos and listen to the anthem... That's when this uncomfortable little exchange happened.
The Daily Mail actually spoke with a lip-reading expert to discern what exactly was said between the royal couple, and according to them, it was rather... short. At least on Harry's part.
Their lip reading expert claims that Hary first says, "Yes, that's right," before telling her to, "turn around," and then, "look."
This likely happened for one of two reasons: you can't turn your back to the Queen, and the Royal family is supposed to be facing the crowd as the anthem plays.
Of course, others on Twitter were quick to say that people were blowing this exchange out of proportion. One tweet, seen below, even makes the point of showing that Meghan had to remind Harry of some protocol... so at least they're even!
Maybe they've been off-duty for just long enough that all this Royal protocol has slid out of the forefront of their mind. Makes sense, since they are probably a totally normal couple behind closed doors.
Plus the photos above don't look like a couple with any sort of unnecessary tension between them. But I do have to say, that exchange did have me cringing just a little bit... Meghan just looked so sad and scolded!!
Either way, the clear star of the day was Prince Louis, who could not EVEN with the planes flying overhead.
How adorable is this?! He's lucky he's still a kid with less Royal expectations than the rest of the fam... cause as soon as you're a teenager, the pressure is ON.
Soak it up while you can, Louis. Cause soon people will be reading your lips at public events.
