Montreal construction is worse than ever right now, and it's only going to be getting worse in the next couple of years.
And one side effect of construction is that it's a lot easier for drivers to lose their patience. Sometime that impatience grows the point where people feel the need to get out of their car and confront the driver in the other car.
I've been in this kind of situation before, and the most important thing to remember is to keep your cool, otherwise the situation can escalate rather quickly.
But there are other less advisable ways to deal with road rage as we discovered from this old video on YouTube.
A woman was apparently blocking the way of the driver in the video. The woman got out of her car (presumably after the driver honked at her) and started yelling.
So he decided to take the passive aggressive route.
He didn't raise his voice, he didn't get out of his car, he just pulled out a gun.
Okay so it was a squirt gun.
After all, what else what else was he supposed to do? Start a fist fight?
As you can see, his technique had a much better outcome. The woman tried to keep yelling but after a few seconds she realized the man wasn't going to stop, so she got back into her car.
Again, I'm not advising anyone to try this technique as individual results may vary.
I was just amazed that the driver's strategy actually worked. I guess it's just a friendly reminder that violence isn't always the answer.
