It's a bird, it's a plane - wait, is it ACTUALLY a bird?
In the wee hours of Tuesday morning, a Milwaukee resident captured mysterious flashing lights buzzing around this Wisconsin city's sleepy skyline.
The video was immediately posted to the internet. Reddit, Facebook, Youtube - hundreds of thousands of opinions and theories began pouring in.
Then Fox network came through with a totally underwhelming yet plausible theory: it's nothing but a flock of seagulls.
They explain that the light flashes are a result of the white city lights reflecting off the white birds, and also a result of a compression issue from the slow shutter speed and overall quality of the recording device.
It was a close encounter of the bird kind. Sorry, couldn't resist. Also, considering Milwaukee is next to a body of water seagulls are the most likely explanation.
Naturally, the conspiracy theorists on the interwebs are a little tougher to convince, and are still swapping questionable comments and theories. Watch the video below, and you can decide for yourself.
