Last week, the announcement that Krispy Kreme Doughtnuts was returning to Montreal with its first-ever downtown location sent social media into a frenzy.
While the famous donut chain once operated several locations on the island of Montreal, it slowly retreated from the city.
TL;DR Krispy Kreme is opening at 375 Rue Ste. Catherine O. in Montreal.
Today, Krispy Kreme has only two locations in Quebec: one on the South Shore of the Saint Lawrence River and one in Québec City.
The company's return to the city will refresh a downtown that is limited in its fast-food and coffee options.
Tim Hortons, Starbucks, and McDonald's have long dominated the Ville-Marie fast-food scene.
The addition of Krispy Kreme's donuts and specialty coffee promises to change everything.
But the company was notably secretive about the address of its new Montreal location.
After some sleuthing, however, we were able to find its specific location!
Fans will be able to buy donuts on Ste-Catherine St. near Place-des-Arts right next to the restaurant Universel.
The specific address is 375 Rue Ste. Catherine Ouest.
According to this photo, they're also hiring!
Prospective applicants should email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Perks are unspecified by may include free donuts. Who knows?
If this franchise performs well, Krispy Kreme may explore other franchise opportunities in the city. We can dream!
In the meantime, Montrealers should ready themselves for Krispy Kreme's famous glazed donuts!
