The holidays are basically here, which means some of the most essential stores in Montreal (*cough* the SAQ *cough*) are going to be shutting their doors to celebrate the season.

You’re probably already well aware what stores, markets, or services are going to be closed during the holidays, but a reminder is always a good thing. You don’t want to be stuck without a gift to give (or a bottle of wine to drink) when you need to see your extended family.

It’s worth nothing that certain municipal services, like garbage pickup, will be operating on different schedules throughout the holidays. To find out the exact details, it’s best to contact the city directly or head to your borough’s portal on the City of Montreal website.
