Norwegian Air Is Launching Super Cheap Flights From Montreal To The Caribbean

Direct flights from Montreal to Asia have also become popular. Air Canada recently opened routes to both Tokyo and Shanghai.

And now, Norwegian Air wants a piece of the travel-savvy Montreal market. The low-cost airline aims to launch direct flights from Montreal to the French Caribbean islands of Guadeloupe and Martinique.
Those routes will open at the end of October, just in time for the cold season. The flights will be as cheap as $219, about $100 cheaper than similar flights.
The increased competition might drive prices down more, or even spur other airlines to launch seasonal routes to the islands.
