Not That We Would Ever Want To Lose A Leg, But Now It Doesn't Seem So Bad

Not That We Would Ever Want To Lose A Leg, But Now It Doesn't Seem So Bad

Prosthetic legs don't have to look like creepy mannequin limbs. Scott Summit, industrial designer/orthopedic surgeon, has created prosthetic "fairings" (panels placed atop prosthetic legs)  that are equally  fashionable and functional.

Entirely customizable, Summit's designs can be tailored to any person's unique style. Using 3D scans, Summit creates a form fitting fairing, and then goes on to make it incredibly stylish.

Bespoke Innovations was created "to bring more humanity to people who have congenital or traumatic limb loss." Each fairing can cost from $4000-$6000.
