“Nutella Ice Cream” Is Now A Thing You Can Eat

One of the most traumatizing moments of my life was when I discovered that most of the ice cream I was eating wasn't ice cream. (Okay so I guess I don't lead the most stressful life out there) And I'm not talking about cheap generic brands either, I'm talking about regular mainstream brands who's whole identity used to be based on making "all natural" ice cream. It really freaked me out when I realized I was staring at an ice cream container and I couldn't see the words "ice cream" written anywhere. Instead I only found the term they legally have to use to refer to their product: Frozen Dessert.

That's why I figured that if I made my own homemade ice cream I would know exactly what's inside it. Problem is I don't have an ice cream machine and I don't plan on buying one either, but there are ways to make ice cream without using a ice cream maker. Not just any ice cream either, Nutella Ice Cream.

According to TheSassyLife you don't need any special equipment, you can make 2 quarts of ice cream at home with 4 simple ingredients: Nutella, whipping cream, vanilla and sweetened condensed milk.

Make whipped cream by using a mixer to beat 16 oz of whipping cream and a teaspoon of vanilla. Keep mixing as you add a cup of Nutella and 14 oz of sweetened condensed milk. Pour it into a large container and freeze overnight. If you're feeling daring you can crush some Ferrero Rocher inside the ice cream and top off with chocolate syrup.
