Old Montreal Is Transforming Into An 18th-Century Market This Spring

Every year, the Pointe-à-Callière Museum in Old Montreal hosts an 18th-century themed public market.

The event includes a whole bunch of historical activities including 18th century products (jams, cheeses, cider, and spruce beer), storytellers, musicians, craftspeople, street performers and artisans.

So, if you've ever wanted to immerse yourself in the spirit of New France, you know exactly where you need to go.

"Learn what daily life was like in the city under the French regime, meet characters that played a part in our history, and admire the know-how of the First Nations."

Normally, the market opens in August, but in honor of the museum's 25th anniversary, the event will be taking place from May 19-22 at 350 Place Royale.
