Céline Dion & Lady Gaga Singing "The Prayer" Together Is Exactly What The World Needed
  • "One World: Together At Home," a virtually broadcasted concert including a myriad of celebrities, was one of the first-ever events of it's kind.
  • And, the final performance by Céline Dion, Lady Gaga, John Legend,  Andrea Bocelli, and Lang Lang was nothing short of amazing.
  • Watch the breathtaking music video below.

"One World: Together At Home," broadcasted on April 18, was one of the first-ever events like it's kind. It was run by Global Citizen, an organization that sets out to bring the world together through the sounds of music. Hundreds of artists united from their homes to provide viewers with a virtual show that will be impossible to soon forget. But, I have to say, the last piece is what truly resonated with me.

The final performance united Céline Dion, our Québécoise queen, Lady Gaga, the American superstar, John Legend, the soulful singer we all know and love, Andrea Bocelli, one of Italy's most influential artists, and Lang Lang, a breathtaking Chinese pianist.

These five artists all joined together, from their separate homes, to provide the world with the musical masterpiece that I think we all needed to hear right now.

They chose to sing Dion & Bocelli's song "The Prayer," which includes lyrics in both English and Italian, with Lang Lang leading them all on the piano.

You can watch a video of this breathtaking performance below.

I believe that this five artist performance is exactly what the World Health Organization (WHO) had in mind when requesting that Global Citizen find a way to bring the world together through music during these unprecedented times.

The beginning of "The Prayer" lyrics go:

I pray you'll be our eyes
And watch us where we go
And help us to be wise
In times when we don't know
Let this be our prayer
When we lose our way

Lead us to a place
Guide us with your grace
To a place where we'll be safe

They couldn't have chosen more perfect lyrics to share with the world right now.

I admit to already having rewatched this performance at least 30 times...

I simply can't get over being able to hear Céline sing beautiful Italian words and listening to Lady Gaga and John Legend get to serenade the world with lyrics by Dion and Bocelli.

And, watching Lang Lang's solo piano moment made me realize that he's a genius of our time.

Having so many major artists partake in an event that promotes staying at home is something that can truly provide all citizens of the globe with hope for better days.

And let's not forget about the ending, where they all hit a perfect high note in unison...

Needless to say, if you're ever feeling down, know that you now have this video to revert back to — since it's almost guaranteed to lift anyone's spirit for the time being.
