Over 250 Models Will Be Invading Downtown Montreal This Summer

Your chance to be discovered.

Alright, raise your hand if you're a little too obsessed with fashion. It's cool if you are. No judgements here, friend; and besides, Montreal's pretty much a fashion hub at this point.

And if you are a lover of fashion, then you definitely know about Montreal's Festival Mode & Design, taking place on August 15 - 20 for the 16th year at the Quartier Des Spectacles. As always, the show is expected to be highkey dazzling, due to the work of designers, organizers, and, of course, models.

Fashion fans might also know about the fact that before the models can start strutting their stuff down the catwalk, they've got to be selected first. Enter the FMD casting call, called the Great FMD Casting, taking place this July 20 at the Loews Hôtel Vogue (1425 De La Montagne).

Over 250 professional models will be in Montreal on July 20, coming from some of the most prestigious Canadian agencies. All of them will be vying to make the cut to be one of 70 models selected for this event; the casting will be taking place between 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, turning Montreal into pretty much a giant catwalk.

But what if you, a non-professional model (probably), want to participate in the FMD?

Well, they've got your back, too. There'll also be a street casting event taking place for aspiring models between 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM. You've got to be over 16 and have a valid I.D. in order to get your chance at taking part in the audition. For more information on the street casting, check out their Facebook event page.
