It has now been two months since what is known as the "Beirut Blast" occurred. Currently, two Montreal locals who are part of Rescue All Dogs Co. (RAD) have gone to Lebanon to help animals in need over there.

MTL spoke with Kim Desautels and Yossi Ohana, the co-founders of the organization, to find out more about the inspiring mission that members of their team are currently on.

"We have two of our team members Rob Leonard and Kaite Stapleton on the ground helping the stray dogs at the port from the explosion and helping BETA rescue," they told us.

This amazing organization is passionate about saving dogs from around the globe and as you can see, there's no distance that's out of reach.

When asked how many dogs would be returning to Canada with them, we were told "21 dogs now. Hopefully the airline will let us fly more."

Montreal locals can also help RAD by donating funds or things like "gently used or new dog collars, leashes, dog beds, crates, bowls, [or] toys."

The team is sharing daily updates on their Instagram page, so make sure to stay tuned to know what Rob and Kaite are up to!
