Personalized License Plates Will Finally Be Legal In Quebec

As a driver, I've always wanted a vanity plate on my car but unfortunately Quebec is one of the few places that doesn’t allow them.

But that's about to change!

According to TVA Nouvelles, drivers in Quebec will soon be allowed to have personalized license plates on their cars, trucks, motorcycles, scooters and snowmobiles.

The new rules will be in effect starting July 27th and the plates will only cost $250.

Now all you have to do is to start thinking of what you want on your license plate to read. You'll be able to choose between 2-7 characters.

Unfortunately that means no one will be able to get "GO HABS GO", "Montreal" or "I AM GROOT" since they all have more than 7 letters. But you can still do "GO HBS GO" or "MNTREAL"

Either way I'm sure Montrealers will find creative ways to get their message out there.
