This Hidden Montreal Plateau Home Has Been Transformed Into A Dreamhome
Forget mansions, this is the move.
Interior and exterior are fused in this stylish and incredibly functional Plateau-Mont Royal house.
Dubbed the "U House," the original lot was an empty area next to a small industrial building, a setting made even more urban by the nearby railroad tracks.
Architect Natalie Dionne transformed the original building by adding two additions at both ends of the vacant lot. A courtyard, panels of wood, glass, and steel, along with incredibly large windows are prominent features of the additions.
The two large windows, when opened, create an active interchange between the inside living room and outdoor garden, while the mixture of wood and metal paneling makes nature meet modern throughout the estate.
