Brian Gionta, the Montreal Canadiens' former captain, is leaving Montreal and selling his gigantic home for a cool $1.45 million. Situated in Brossard, the house is well out of our price range (and probably yours) but the house listing does give us a cool inside look into how a Habs captain lives.
Built in 2006, the 15, 660 square foot house features six bedrooms, a three-car garage, a playground, and a ball hockey pit. Originally purchased for $1.3 million (according to the Toronto Sun) the price probably went up simply because it can now be marketed as an ex-Habs captain's home.
Gionta is leaving Montreal after signing a three year deal with the Buffalo Sabres. You can find out everything you need to know about the house, and maybe even check it out at the Remax listing here.
