As much as you'd like to think Montrealers have their style game on lock, not even the freshest Mile End hipster comes close compared to the cool kids in the Omo Valley of Ethiopia.
Spanish-born fashion photographer and filmmaker, Alex Franco, was so struck by the "hipster cool" fashion of the Hamer, Mursi, Banna and Bodi ethnic groups, he just had to snap some pics. Franco explains that the tribe members are combining local traditions with what little exposure they have to Western culture, to rep what is some serious swag. The result is a completely unique style highlighted by elaborate colours, hipster poses, and sweet accessories.
Check out Franco's photos below and see for yourself just how cool they be.
