The National Geographic Photo Contest 2013 winners were announced recently and taking home the coveted grand prize is a picture by Seattle-based professional photographer Paul Souders took a polar bear surfacing right beneath the Hudson Bay's very effing cold waters. He named the photograph Ice Bear.
Mr. Souders beat more than 7,000 pics submitted by photogs from around the globe totaling over 150 countries to win this years $10,000 grand prize. He on top of everything also received a trip to National Geographic's headquarters in Washington, D.C., (call us very jealous indeed) to participate in their yearly photography seminar that takes place in January 2014.
