Living above a restaurant, especially if its a nightlife hub or has some strange smelling dishes, isn't the ideal location. But with the right design, an apartment above a resto can be an awesome place to live. MU Architecture proves that point with the Mentana Residence.

At the bottom of the Mentana Residence sits the Asian restaurant Tampopo on Mont-Royal and Mentana. A flight of stairs takes you up to a luxuriously sleek kitchen space that is the simple, modern, and very chic.

One more set of stairs takes you to the master bedroom that leads to a connected wood-panel terrasse. Surprisingly large, the terrasse is big enough for a dining table, a couch, and even a hot tub, the time travelling kind or otherwise.
