Don't hide natural beauty, bring it out to the forefront. That's the idea behind photographer Cara Phillip's photo series titled "Ultraviolet Beauties."

Offering random strangers in New York "Free Portraits," Phillips took photos with subjects under a strong UV light to showcase their every freckle, line, and facial imperfection.

With eyes closed, the portraits have an ethereal quality, while also showing the beauty that comes from living life, and not being obsessed with appearances.
