Heartbreaking for both the dogs and humans.
Pit Bull Attacks And Kills Woman In Montreal

If you guys know me at all, you know that I really love animals. Dogs are basically my fave things in the world, which is why it lowkey breaks my heart to tell you guys about some sad news coming out of Montreal this morning.

A woman died Wednesday after being fatally attacked by a dog in Montreal's Pointe-aux-Trembles,  CBC News reports. The dog attacked the woman in her backyard, after presumably getting in through a hole in a neighbouring fence.

The police were called, and in order to reach the woman safely, they had to shoot and kill the dog. The woman was pronounced dead on the scene, according to CBC.

An autopsy still has to be performed on the woman; the owner of the pit bull, who was not home at the time of the attack, has since been contacted. He might be facing charges of criminal negligence.

No matter what your position on this issue is, I think we can all agree that straight-up, this is just incredibly tragic.
