Police Have Arrested A Suspect After The Mass Shooting In Canada

Four people are dead after the latest mass shooting in Canada.

In the early morning of Friday August 10th, police in Fredericton, New Brunswick responded to reports of gunfire on Brookside Drive.

Please continue to avoid the area of Brookside Drive between Main and Ring Road. An incident has resulted in at least four people killed. More information will be available when we can confirm.

The identities of the deceased have not been released. But the Fredericton police department confirmed moments ago that they have arrested a suspect.

UDPATE: At this time we can confirm that we have one suspect in custody.

Police continue to have the Brookside area contained for the foreseeable future as the investigation is ongoing.

Please continue to avoid the area and follow us for the facts.

An investigation is ongoing, and police have requested that residents in the area remain in their homes with their doors locked.

They have further asked that people refrain from disclosing the locations of investigators and first responders on social media.

This is the second mass shooting in Canada in one month. In July, a shooter opened fire on Danforth Street in Toronto, killing three, including himself.
