Police Will Be Ticketing Montreal Drivers Like Crazy This Week

Attention all Montreal drivers! For any of you who run the occasional red, or tend to push the speed limit, be on the look out. From May 11th-17th, Montreal police will be on ticket patrol, in commemoration of National Road Safety Week.

While the idea of the road police breathing down your neck isn't a pleasant one, they are doing it for a good cause. The rise of ticketing regulations in Quebec have actually decreased deaths on the road by half, in less than 15 years.
