No food item is safe from Fall's most popular flavour, known to everywhere as "pumpkin spice." Popularized by the white-girl-crack Starbucks beverage the Pumpkin Spice Latte. the more gingerbread than pumpkin flavour profile is not found in nearly everything. Peanut butter has been infected. potato chips got a case of PS, and now Oreos have undergone a PS-transformation.

Already making waves on the online world of snackers, the Pumpkin Spice Oreos have been met with equal parts excited anticipation and a "was this really necessary" attitude. Uber fans of all things P-spice'd, we gladly welcome the Oreo-switch, which will be hitting stores on September 24th.

Members of the esteemed media (so Buzzfeed as well as Time) have gotten their hands on the new PSOs, with most saying the same thing: the cookies smell/taste like a scented fall candle, they're kind of like a spicy chai latte, and have an unsettling orange filling (in true PSL tradition the cookies contain zero pumpkn).

The general consensus seems to be that the Pumpkin Spice Oreo is good, but not mind-blowingly amazing. We'll still have to judge that for ourselves.
