Let me just state the obvious here and say that there's pretty much nothing cuter than a puppy. But a puppy in need? It's heart-wrenchingly adorable. So if you're a Montrealer who's looking to get yourself a new K-9 best friend, consider giving one of these guys a chance and you may just have a friend for life.
Riley is a 16 week old Lab/Boxer mix that was abandoned by his owners and taken in by animal control. He's currently available at Refuge Saint-Chatques in Laval. Click here for more information.
Stitch, a 2 year old cocker spaniel mix, was left at the pound, dirty and matter, by his previous owners who said they didn't have any time for him. Since then he's been cleaned up and looks absolutely adorable. He's housetrained, leash trained and microchipped, and is super loving and gentle. You can find out more info about Stitch and adopting him here.

This entire pile of puppies
So. Many. Puppies. These guys are a bit of a mystery in terms of what breed they are, other than that they're some sort of Kahnawake mix (husky, german shepherd, lab, and pit). There's 3 girls and 2 boys, and they're all super sweet and cuddly. For more info on adopting one of them, click here.
Kira is a super sweet 3 year old Boxer mix that was surrendered to the SPCA. She's very calm and can be a little shy, but she loves to go for walks and runs. You can find out more about adopting Kira here.
This little guy is a 4 year old Bichon Frise and Maltese mix with quite the story. After being harassed by young kids in his at his first home, he ended up eventually nipping at one of them and was sent to be euthanized. The vet refused to put him down and he was taken in by a rescue organization. For obvious reasons he'd do best in a home with no kids, but other than that he's super lovable, house trained and crate trained. For more info click here.
Presley is an adorable 6 month old German Shepherd and Pug mix. She was found out on the streets and taken in by Animal Control, and when nobody claimed her she was put into foster care. She's still working on her training but is super smart and catching on quickly. If you love running and being outside then you might just be the perfect match. For more info on Presley, click here.
Ninja is a 2 year old Retriever/Labrador mix. She's super playful, but doesn't get along so well with other cats and dogs. If you're looking for an energetic companion to give some love to, she might just be the dog for you. Check out more info on adopting Ninja here.

Gizmo is a young Pit Bull Terrier that loves to play and have fun. He gets along great with other dogs and kids, but isn't too fond of cats. He's house broken and crate trained, and loves to snuggle just as much as he likes to run around. Check out Gizmo's adoption info here.
This 4-month-old Lab and Boxer mix is absolutely darling. He's playful, social and sweet as can be, and just needs someone to give him some love and spend some time training him. He's currently at Gerdy's Rescues and Adoptions. For more info click here.
Sunny, a 2-year-old Lab/Retriever mix, had a bit of a rough start in life. She was picked up as a stray just before a scheduled dog cull in Northern Quebec. She's now readjusting to her new life of comfort off the streets. Sunny loves other dogs and going for very long walks. For more info on here, click here.
Despite her name, the adorable Miss Lucky has had some pretty bad luck in her 2 years. Her first owners abandoned her in a vacant apartment, and her second home is now giving her up because she doesn't get along with their new puppy. She's gentle, loving, and gets along with all people (including kids). Lucky is also very well trained and eager to please. For more info on her, click here.
