Today is August 1st and all the crazy weather from July is far behind us, which can only mean one thing: It's time for us to get ready for all the crazy August weather of course.
So prepare yourselves Quebec, because you're in for a rough couple of days.
According to The Weather Network, many parts of Quebec can expect to be hit with severe (borderline extreme) thunderstorms today. The storms will be sweeping across Quebec this morning bringing "several rounds of strong storms". But this afternoon is when are going to get really bad.
They say that "large hail, torrential downpours, and even isolated tornadoes are all on the menu" which doesn’t sound fun at all!
As of Wednesday morning there are warnings in effect for the following Quebec regions: La Tuque, La Vérendrye Wildlife Reserve, Lac-Saint-Jean, Mont-Laurier, Mont-Tremblant Park - Saint-Michel-des-Saints, Parent - Gouin Reservoir Pontiac, Upper Gatineau - Lièvre - Papineau
The crazy weather is expected to last until at least Thursday. After that it seems there's rain on and off for most days. So while July was the month for record breaking heat, it looks like August will be the month for violent thunderstorms.
