On March 25, Premier François Legault began the Government of Quebec's press conference with a smile on his face, saying that he is extremely proud of the way Quebecers have been following health regulations. He reminds us that we must continue to do our part during this difficult time. Legault then tells us that the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Quebec has now reached 1,339, and there have been six deaths in the province due to the novel coronavirus.

Legault then offered his condolences to all the families and friends of these six individuals who have passed.

On a brighter note, Legault told the public that Quebec has increased its testing for the virus, and there have now been 26,634 people who have tested negative in the province.

Legault also took the time to remind all of us that while any age group is susceptible to the virus, people ages 70 and older are more likely to have grave consequences from it.

He then informed us that there are now three senior homes in Quebec that have residents with confirmed cases of COVID-19, one of them being in Montreal. Legault reassures us that the proper health measures are being taken in these homes.

"I know it's hard, but there can be no visits to senior homes whatsoever," Legault dictated.

A live stream of the Government of Quebec's March 25 press conference can be found in Legault's tweet below.

Legault has continuously reassured Quebecers that our lives will eventually go back to normal, as long as we continue to do our part in stopping the spread of COVID-19.

The Government of Quebec has even released a self-care guide for us to follow in order to help protect ourselves and others from the virus. You can read about it here.

In Legault's tweet above, he writes "We are eight and a half million Quebecers, eight and a half million soldiers engaged in a peaceful but vital fight against the virus. And every action we take brings us closer to victory."

Words to remember, and to live by right now.
