Luckily for us, the Southern region of our province is home to over 50 major wineries. The highest concentration being in The Eastern Townships and Monteregie region.
Wine-lovers rejoice! You don't need to hop a flight to Southern California or Tuscany to enjoy a weekend of vineyard and winning and dining.
Not only can you visit a single winery of your choice, you can take a road trip across the Eastern Townships on a very special 'wine road' tour.
'La Route Des Vins' groups 22 of the major wineries so that you can maximize your time wine sampling and really get a taste of the region.
The company makes it so easy to organize because they conveniently sell various 'wine packages' that include overnight accommodations, breakfast, and a 'passport' to certain vineyards.
If package deals aren't your thing, you can just download a copyof the wine map and hit the road on your own. Make sure to contact the vineyards you plan on visiting in advance though, many have fixed opening/closing times and you need to book a visit in advance.
