Quebec Issues Warning For West Nile Virus

Here's something we haven't heard about in awhile, West-Nile Virus.

West Nile Fever symptoms include headaches, feeling tired, muscle pain, nausea, loss of appetite, vomiting, rashes, and in certain cases, it can lead to neurological diseases that can affect the central nervous system.

In 2015 there were over 45 cases of West Nile fever, when the year before, there were only 6. And more than half of the cases happened in either Montreal or the Montérégie region, so wer'e going to have to be extra careful this year.

Quebec even hired a special panel of experts to keep an eye on the situation.

They recommend that the public be very careful this year. Wear mosquito repellent, avoid exposure in the mornings and in the evenings, and make sure there is no still-water near you home.
