Quebec Man Builds Insane Ice Castle In His Backyard

Growing up in Quebec, every kid can remember building (or at least attempting to build) a snow fort during the winter. And one man from Brossard has decided to take this childhood tradition to the next level.

Derek Parker decided he didn't just want to build a fort, he was going to build an Ice Castle!

He started building it on December 14th and only completely the monumental task by January 8th

He spent over 100 hours freezing water in buckets to make the ice blocks. He then painstakingly stacked them on top of each other using snow and slush as mortar. 

It's made up of 568 blocks in total.

The Ice castle bar has everything you need: seating, a fireplace, a slide, a fully stocked bar, a TV to watch the game and it even lights up at night!
