During the Government of Quebec's press conference on March 24, an astounding number of cases was announced for our province. Before announcing the number of confirmed cases of the day, Premier François Legault spoke a message to all Quebecers, saying that he understands that the majority of us are stressed, that it's normal. And then, the Premier announced that the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Quebec has reached 1013.
During the press conference, Legault stressed that the priority for the next three weeks is to avoid the spread of the virus, which is why all non-essential businesses have been closed until April 13.
His Facebook post with a link to the live press conference also had a written part, which reads "It's not easy what we're going through right now. For entrepreneurs, for workers, for our seniors, for our families and our children, it is stressful. That is normal. We understand that."
Legault makes sure to remind us all that what we're currently experiencing is only temporary and that things will, eventually, get back to normal.
