As of March 21 at 1 p.m., Premier François Legault announced to the public that there are now 181 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Quebec. 19 of these people remain hospitalized, according to Legault's Facebook post. Through Santé Québec's most recent update, we have also learned that there have now been five deaths due to coronavirus in the province.
After stating the new number of confirmed cases in the province, the Premier wrote in his Facebook post that "we are expecting it to accelerate, this is a harsh reminder of the seriousness of the situation. We are preparing for all scenarios and we must continue to limit our physical contact."
Quebec's confirmed COVID-19 case count reaching 181 today makes it 42 more confirmed cases than what was announced by Santé Québec yesterday, March 20 at 1 p.m.
